IT HAS A SHORT WHEEL BASE WITH A STEEL BODY, GOOD FOR MANOVERING ON NARROW U.K. ROADS, FULL POWER STEERING WITH A EXTRA HEAVY DUTY FULL ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM FITTED.

THE EXTERIOR IS OVERALL WHITE WITH ROYAL BLUE STRIPES:

THE ROOF IS MARKED FOR HELICOPTER IDENTIFICATION AND HAS A LARGE “RED” CENTRE MOUNTED ROTATING BEACON MAKING THE AMBULANCE VERY EASY TO IDENTIFY FROM THE AIR, DAY OR NIGHT, ESPECIALLY IF AN AIRBOURNE RADIO LINK IS FITTED .

TWIN OVERHEAD STERIO SPEAKERS ARE ALSO CEILING MOUNTED.

THERE ARE TWO FOLDING SIDE ENTERANCE DOORS INTO THE PATIENT COMPARTMENT ( OPENING OUTWARDS,) INSIDE THE RIGHT HAND DOOR IS THE FIRST AID KIT AND THE A.L.S. CABINET WITH SPACE FOR THE AIRCREW FLIGHT HELMET STORAGE AND SNATCH BAG SELF, UNDER WHICH IS A LARGE HINGED STORAGE LOCKER, ABOVE IS A KEY OPERATED LOCKED DRUG LOCKER, AND A SMALL LOCKER WITH A SEE THRU DOOR.

OVER THE OTHER SIDE AND OPPOSITE THESE DOORS BEHIND THE CAPTAINS CHAIR IS THE CREWS PERSONAL BELONGINGS AND DOCUMENT LOCKER WHICH IS NARROW BUT RUNS THE FULL HEIGHT FROM THE FLOOR TO THE CEILING, ABOVE THIS IS A SMALL CREW SAFETY VEST, R.T.C. AND MEDICAL GLOVE LOCKER.

THERE IS ALSO STORAGE SPACE BEHIND THE DRIVERS SEAT, ALSO THE MAIN ELECTRIC POWER SWITCH IS ON THE DRIVERS SEAT AND BEHIND ARE THE SWITCHES FOR THE ON-BOARD BATTERY CHARGER AND THE ENGINE BLOCK HEATER ( ALL SHORE LINE OPERATED ) THE SHORE LINE IS SUPPLIED BUT A SEPARATE 110 VOLT A.C. TRANSFORMER IS REQUIRED ( OUTSIDE SITE TYPE ) TO POWER THIS FEATURE.

THIS AMBULANCE COMES COMPLETE WITH ALL VEHICLE AND MAINTANACE RECORDS , M.O.T’S. AND IS ROAD TAX EXCEMPT.

THE UNIT HAS BEEN MAINTAINED IN OUR OWN WORKSHOPS BY OUR OWN ENGINEER, IT HAS HAD A NEW HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP FITTED AT RODLEY MOTORS IN 2008 AT 19,108 MILES FOLLOWING A PUMP FAILURE, A NEW TURBO CHARGER WAS FITTED IN 2011 AT 33,679 FOLLOWING A HIGH SPEED BEARING FAILURE, NEW REAR BRAKE PADS   WERE FITTED 2013 AT 47,329 MILES, AND TWO NEW “GELL” CELL HEAVY DUTY BATTERYS WERE FITTED IN 2013 AT 47,000 MILES.
